Run and Gun

Sometimes photoshoots need to happen in a moments notice. This was one to remember because the smallest time led to quick thinking and quality photographs. I got a text from my sister-in-law who needed photos for her Christmas card for 2021. I wasn’t doing anything and the sun was setting in about 30 minutes. So I grabbed my gear and picked them up at their house and we went to a wonderful location with lots of space. I had brought a bench That I sometimes use as a prop for family photoshoots and it worked out perfectly. They brought their dog named Birdie Blu and she was adorable with her bandana collar. One thing I have learned about shooting with dogs is that you have to be patient and always ready. Birdie did outstanding during this session! Anyways, I already had poses in mind and it also helped that I knew the clients on a personal level being my brother and sister-in-law. It made it so exciting because even though it was such a quick shoot and we had to use much sun light as we could, I produced some truly amazing photos that were sent out to all of the friends and family as a wonderful Christmas Card.
