Friendly Connections

As a photographer, I have come across so many situations where somebody knows somebody that needs photos for something. It is actually a good thing. I used to be so scared of photographing people I didn’t know. It gave me so much anxiety and I would overthink everything I did at that specific photoshoot. I learned quickly that it is good to be the friend that always has a camera because they all refer you to their other friends. Connections are connections and you get paid either way. It seems that everyone I meet and have a good conversation with, I get an opportunity to tell them I do photography professionally and it usually leads to a photoshoot with someone they know sometime in the future. I have also learned to be bold and confident with my photography so I have been marketing myself a lot more. It has lead to so many opportunities photographing different occasions. All of it has lead to great experience and me dialing in my own niche. I am grateful for all of the friends I have made and the referrals they have made for me. It brings good business to me.
